Role Description
The HR Manager is the first point of contact for local leaders on all HR matters concerning their designated territories. The HR Manager supports Country Manager with regard to employment law compliance, analysis and implementation of Global HR workstreams, recruitment, engagement, learning and development, and performance management. In a standalone role, the HR Manager navigates and supports other to navigate a global, matrixed group – setting the team up for success.
Business Partnering
Collaborate closely with management members to integrate business strategies with people management practices
Lead and execute organisational design in partnership with business and HR stakeholders, including related compensation structures
Consult with business partners on people metrics to inform business strategy
Provide consultation to line managers on coaching and career development
Employee Development
Provide and/or deliver training, support and advice on performance management and development plans and ensure performance reviews are conducted when required as per company policy and procedure
Support local leadership to identify training needs coordinate with the Learning and Development Team to find solutions
Performance Management
Manage the evaluation process at all stages and ensure that team members and line managers integrate supporting the team in applying consistent practice
Provide training to line managers as they complete evaluations, help line managers find effective coaching methods that work for specific issues including identifying areas of poor performance
Supporting line managers to establish plans for improving performance (PIP), and involvement during review meetings when necessary
Provide support to line managers including responding to various inquiries raised by different employees, clarifying the goal setting procedures, appraisal process, methodology etc.
Employee Relations
Full ownership of engagement with Works Councils, acting as the first point of contact, maintain positive relationship
Fully understand rights and obligations when working with Works Council on people matters and projects
Support management on resolution to employee issues and consult proactively
Other
Full ownership of recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
Conduct regular HR audits in the designated territories to ensure compliance to organisational policies, procedures and systems as well as ensuring accuracy of necessary documentation such as payroll and right to work
Recommend updates on benefits that ensure organisational competitiveness in local talent markets, deliver flexibility and creativity to employees, and are cost-effective for the organization
Maintain and use HRIS system to report on trends/metrics
Travel as required
Requirements
Proven experience in HR partnering
Fluent understanding of Dutch employment law, appreciation of Belgian employment
Strong abilities to manage end to end people processes, e.g recruitment
Able to use people metric to support business strategy input
Experience working in matrixed environments
Exposure to full HR spectrum
