Editor [EN-TH] 6-month contract

The Editor is responsible for reviewing and editing subtitle files to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across linguistic, stylistic, and platform standards. The role includes checking grammar, timing, formatting, and cultural appropriateness, as well as verifying translations and maintaining high-quality deliverables within tight deadlines. The Editor also collaborates closely with project coordinators and team leads, and may translate subtitles when required.

Role Description  

• Review and edit subtitle files for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, including correcting grammar, punctuation, timing, and formatting to meet linguistic, stylistic, and platform standards. 

• Research and verify translations for cultural appropriateness, tone, and consistency with source content. 

• Collaborate with project coordinators and the team lead to address feedback and resolve issues efficiently. 

• Maintain high-quality output under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously. 

• Translating subtitles as required by supervisor where necessary. 

Capabilities and Skills 

• Excellent command of English, especially in reading and writing 

• Strong proofreading and writing skills in Thai. 

• Native Thai speaker. 

• Proficiency in Korean, Chinese, and/or Japanese is preferred. 

• Familiarity with international TV series, variety shows, and movies; including culture, slang, and colloquial expressions is a plus. 

• Ability to work in shifts. 

• Ability to work under time constraints in a deadline-driven environment. 

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced workflow and manage multiple priorities. 

• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, proactive, positive, self-motivated, and able to multitask; strong work ethic is required.

• Consistently deliver assignments in a timely manner. 

• Follow client formatting guidelines accurately. 

• Use proper spelling and transliteration in accordance with the Royal Institute Dictionary. 

• Maintain strong cultural knowledge of both Thai and international content. 

• Demonstrate great attention to detail and aim for zero errors and zero redelivery.
